A brief introduction to remanufacturing and our quick n’ easy core preparation guide.
With the trend towards renewing, reusing and recycling in order to reduce costs, increase efficiency and strive for sustainability, Hubbard-Hall focused on providing its services to an industry that brings all three of these strands together: remanufacturing.
Remanufacturing, or “reman”, as a process goes far beyond just refurbishing parts. Remanufacturing is an industrial process that strips what are called core parts (such as automobile engines) down to their base components.
The cores are then cleaned and rebuilt to like new quality, sometimes requiring an additive manufacturing process similar to 3D printing technology to add metal directly to the core if they’ve been worn out over time.
