Students Gain Valuable “On the Job” Experiences In the Field of Chemistry

On September 30th, a group of 5th grade students from Kingsbury Elementary School in Waterbury CT participating in a Junior Achievement program visited Hubbard-Hall to experience “Science in Action.” During the two hour visit, the group of approximately 30 students and chaperones participated in three laboratory demonstrations: the use of defoamers in wastewater treatment with Product Manager Robin Tiede, metal cleaning with Technical Director Bob Farrell and black oxide conversion coatings with Product Manager Peter St. Pierre.
