No More Fussing Over Fluoride

Struggling with tightening limits and regulations around fluoride in your wastewater?

If you’re in the aerospace or semiconductor manufacturing industry, chances are your company struggles with tightening limits and regulations around fluoride in your wastewater.

Metal and glass etching processes can generate 35 mg/l or more residual fluoride, a high level that usually requires treatment. Precipitation is the most common and economical way to remove fluoride. A balanced addition of calcium chloride and/or lime product, or a formulated precipitant such as Aquapure EB, can bring the pH down to about 5-6.

Once the pH is within limits, an anionic flocculant like Aquapure AN Clear aids in massing and settling out precipitated metals.

Problem solved: fluoride back within limits.
