Lusterlume 7 LX is a liquid concentrate which is used with water for cleaning, polishing and burnishing iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, pewter, precious and semi-precious metals. It is an amine-based product with a pH of 10.5 to 11.5. Lusterlume 7 LX is very effective at removing black phase in accelerated mass finishing operations.
Lusterlume 7 LX is formulated for use with or without media. Ceramic, plastic, steel, or Stainless Steel tumbling media may be used in tumble and vibratory operations.
Lusterlume 7 LX burnishing compound can be used in hard water and is buffered to prevent dulling on over-rolling. It is extremely free rinsing. When used without rinsing it provides finished parts with a short-term corrosion resistant finish.
Note: For long term storage, thoroughly rinsed parts should be dipped in a suitable long-term corrosion preventive.
