When mixed with 50% Caustic Soda, Liquid Black-Magic SS C Concentrate is used for black oxiding stainless steel and cast iron. The resulting composition is designed to blacken cast and malleable iron as well as steel.
Black-Magic SS C Concentrate and 50% Caustic Soda produce an alkaline solution used at a low boiling temperature of 250°F to 260oF, to blacken cast and malleable iron as well as steel. For a superior quality finish on steel, Hubbard-Hall’s “Activated” Black-Magic “Plus” is recommended.
