Donna Fusco Credit Manager Retires After 34 Years of Service

We sat down with Donna to hear what she will miss and what her future holds…

What will you miss most?
I will miss the relationships with the customers that I have built, not just on a business level but many on a personal level, as well as the Hubbard-Hall family.

What was your day like at HH?
Somedays a roller coaster, some a slow train ride, always a mix of different things, helped keep the job
interesting.

What is something you look forward to doing during your retirement?
We show and raise English setters, along with conformation do obedience and other events. Now I will have more time to work with the dogs as well as help out with the various dog clubs I belong to. Top of my list is to start training my English Setter girl Tula as a certified therapy dog. Helping people is in my DNA.

Hard to believe 34 years have flown by so quickly, never expected to stay so long. I started working for FR Kellogg (Molly’s grandfather) who practiced a different collection approach, work with the customer through tough times even if it meant waiting a long time for payment, but we rarely lost them. At that time many were small family businesses and loyalty went a long way. Chuck Kellogg was the BEST boss one could ask for. He trusted my decisions, rarely did we send anyone out for collection, while keeping our bad debt low each year. I miss our monthly meetings and his humor, a great person. Molly, following in Chuck’s footsteps has allowed me the same, it’s been a pleasure working for 3 generations of a family business. PS—I’m not that old!
