Excerpt: Hubbard-Hall will be Speaking at SUR/FIN-

Speakers- Mike Valenti & Ray Graffia
Session - What if You Could Reclaim 95% of Your Production Line Cleaner?

Contaminant classification/characterization is critical to keeping industrial wastewater discharges legal and optimizing the condition of aqueous cleaning solutions. Ever smaller sources of high purity water nationwide demand that we minimize water usage across the board and explore as well as implement water-based product recovery and reuse technologies. This presentation will cover the basics in removal alternatives for oils and soils -- what works with what contaminants -- in addition to providing an introduction to or more detailed coverage of membrane filtration as a viable treatment/recycling option... one that has been in limited use for years but is likely to be "something new" to at least many of the attendees at SUR/FIN. Advancements in membrane materials of construction and increased compatibility with today's industrial operating conditions might make micro-, ultra- and nano-filtration worth a (another?) look in the pursuit of better parts' quality as well as better utilization / less consumption of Mother Earth's precious water resources. Learn about them and what others are already doing with them here!
