Hot Black Oxides

Hubbard-Hall's Black-Magic™ line of hot black oxide products is frequently used to produce a true durable black oxide conversion coating on steel, stainless steel and copper alloys. From the black oxide process, these essentially dimensionless coatings create very decorative, highly durable black finishes that leave an absorbing oxide layer for oils and waxes that will provide for enhanced corrosion protection.

Black-Magic™ CBL

This liquid concentrate is used to blacken a wide range of copper and copper alloyed surfaces. When used in conjunction with Black-Magic™ BAL it will produce the ultimate black finish on zinc-alloyed copper surfaces (brass). Meets MIL-F-495

Black-Magic™ Infusion

Black oxide finish for steel. Provides the darkest black oxide finish for steel on the market. This liquid concentrate meets and surpasses military and aeronautical specifications. Meets MIL-DTL-13924 Class 1

Metal Coloring: Hot Black Oxides for Stainless Steel

Black-Magic™ SSL	A pre-mixed liquid black oxide product developed to impart a black conversion coating on stainless steel, cast and malleable irons. Meets MIL-DTL-13924 Class 4.
Black-Magic™ SS-C	A RoHS compliant powdered black oxide product developed to impart a black conversion coating on stainless steel, cast and malleable irons. Meets MIL-DTL-13924 Class 4.

Metal Coloring: Hot Black Oxides for Zinc

Black-Magic™ ZX	This black conversion finish is a non-chromate blackening salt that is used to produce the ultimate in decorative and durable black finishes on zinc, zinc plated and zinc die cast surfaces, with excellent resistance to abrasion and organic solvents.
Black Zinc	This black conversion finish is an acidic powdered product developed to impart a black conversion coating of zinc die casting, galvanized stock and electroplated zinc parts.
