San Diego, Calif., November 29, 2012 — Andrew K. Skipp, President/CEO of Hubbard-Hall Inc. was named the 2012 Distributor of the Year by the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD). His service and dedication to the mission and goals of the Association have been an outstanding example of his steadfast commitment to the chemical distribution industry.
Skipp received his award during the Wednesday General Session of NACD’s Annual Meeting, where he was commended for his unwavering service to NACD and Responsible Distribution. He was also recognized for strong and positive leadership both on the regional and national level. Last year’s award winners Donna D. Boldt, President and James (Jim) Boldt, Vice President Sales, Deeks & Company, Inc., Stone Mountain, Georgia, presented the award. In doing so they said, “Andrew Skipp has spent many years serving NACD on committees and in various volunteer roles but it’s in the last few years that he truly has made his mark. From his testimony before a congressional committee, to his constant efforts to enlist new volunteers into service, his unwavering dedication to the principals of our organization is awe inspiring. He is a great leader and a tremendous asset to NACD.”
Andrew Skipp has served as Chairman of NACD since January 1, 2011. Prior to serving as Chairman, Andrew was a member of the NACD Executive Committee for four years. Since joining Hubbard-Hall Inc. in 1977 and coming up through the sales ranks, Andrew has led the company to record profit growth year after year and positioned the company as one of the most respected independent distributors in the business. He has been running the day-to-day operations since 1999.
