Dow's patented inhibitor package includes a dispersant (hard water stabilizer), which is not found in any other inhibited glycols.

DOWFROST HDTM(Tech Sheet)
- DOWFROST HD heat transfer fluid is a formulation of 94.0 percent propylene glycol and a specially designed package of industrial corrosion inhibitors. The fluid is dyed bright yellow to aid in leak detection. Solutions in water provide freeze protection to below -50ºC (-60ºF) and burst protection to below -73ºC (-100ºF).
- DOWFROST HD also contains a copper inhibitor not found in other inhibited glycols. It is commonly used in higher temperature applications and solar systems. DOWFROST HD is particularly well suited for HVAC applications because its inhibitor package offers additional corrosion protection for systems containing copper components.
