Hubbard-Hall Family Leadership: Continuity of values and visionCan you name a company that is in its 6th generation of family leadership? For over 160 years, Hubbard Hall has transferred seamlessly from one generation to the next, belying statistics showing that 97% of family enterprises fail by the fourth generation. And why does this matter? Continuity of leadership, values and vision make Hubbard-Hall a stable, respected partner for all of our constituents – customers, suppliers, employees and our surrounding communities. It is no small thing, in this economic environment, to be assured that the company you are doing business with today will be there for you tomorrow. Three family members make up the current Hubbard-Hall leadership.
Charles T. KelloggChairman/CFO and has been a steward for the business for over 50 years. He has guided the company through such remarkable events as the leveraged buyback of the Industrial Chemical Division of Hubbard-Hall in 1966 after the company had been sold to Kerr-McGee in 1964. The Kelloggs and George Davis arranged another buyback in 1971, well before leveraged buyouts became the vogue of Wall Street. He implemented an ESOP in 1986 and undertook a variety of strategic acquisitions over the last two decades. He was named “Distributor of the Year” by the NACD (National Association of Chemical Distributors) in 1996 and serves on multiple corporate and community boards. |

Andrew K. SkippChuck's nephew and President/CEO, has been running the day-to-day operations of the company since 1999. Since joining the company in 1977 and coming up through the sales ranks, Andrew has led the company to record profit growth year after year and positioned the company as one of the most respected independent distributors in the business. Andrew is currently serving as Vice-Chairman of the NACD and will serve as Chairman of this important industry group in 2011. |

Molly C. KelloggChuck's daughter and Executive Vice President and works out of the company’s Wilmington, MA division. With an emphasis on strategic planning, Molly is setting the framework for long term growth and evaluating new business opportunities. Molly joined the company in 1994 and in addition to her strategic role, runs the Wilmington division and has direct sales responsibilities, mostly within the high-tech/high purity industries. Chuck, Andrew and Molly form a remarkable leadership team that shares a common vision of Hubbard-Hall as responsible partner and industry leader well into the next generation. |
